This is the way to go (progress) for Myanmar to be highly educated in ENGLISH (the world's international language). To be taught in Kindergarten age childhood years for these are the age to trained efficiently and effectively by bringing up the kids to a higher level of understanding from the early age. I myself was taught (since kindergarten) in Methodist English High School and so is Aung San Suu Kyi and other top ex-MEHS students that are genius in thinking or insights.

The fourth kid in a stripe “neck tie” (actually it is a "checkered tie", I still remember) from left in second row is me (Terence Lyn Official & Legal name).

Note: By the way General Ne Win, the first dictator of then Burma (now Myanmar) who stage a military coup in 1962 abolished the English teachings (together with democratic governance system) in MEHS and the Principle is Burmese Guy (Mrs Logie went back to UK) and change the school name from MEHS to Dagon (old name of Yangon), SHS (State High School) number 1. We all have to change to Burmese names and since then English teaching was severely eliminated or at least down graded thus the students down from kids to University level, English was downgraded and thus the entire country suffer from low level international standard in English and beyond. Thus kids who are much much "older" than me have better English than me because of the destruction by the first dictator General Ne Win's "order". Not only he (dictator) downgrade the English level but also the entire nation goes down with his foolish thinking of "Burmese Way to Socialism" and stands as a Neutral Country and participate in Non align nations movement. In those days the world is divided into 2 groups led by then 2 Super Power nations namely Union of the Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR now Russia which current Russian President Putin is reviving Russia back to old USSR empire again, thus Ukraine Crisis is occurring now) led nations and United States of America (USA) led nations and the height of COLD WAR is on.

Methodist English High School in Yangon, Myanmar (1960s).
English School like this will be well advance by now if it was NOT demolished in the 1960s when the Burmese military take over the country for half a Century ago. Can anyone imagine how schools like this will produce highly intelligent personals by now if English teachings is continue to this day? Where Myanmar will stand now? English was demolished and eradicated by the foolish, ill will and ignorant militant tyrants/dictators that rule this nation for so long.

My message to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar………………..

Myanmar MUST implement highly skilled English language (International Standard/mostly used Language) from the early stages of Students who will become the rulers of Myanmar in the future. Investing in from kindergarten stage kids well up to doctorate degree holders as English language skills (at least in basic sense and second to Burmese) is a MUST if Myanmar wants to be in forefront advancement or at least in par with the rapidly advancing and competitive world of 21st Century and beyond.

Thanks for the information on International School in Myanmar. I am always FOR the "Wisdom". Wonderful! This is a good start for Myanmar no matter how small the step is. In fact it is a wise investment in knowledge, understanding and advancement for young Myanmars who will be the future potential rulers of their country. Like in every field "investment", GOOD investment is vital to success, growth and prosperity. Knowledge is Power and it is lifetime where no thieves can steal. Education is the Key to any nation's success. Why is United States the Sole Super Power Nation? Because US has many high standard Universities that spawns (produce) intellectuals for US and beyond. Most "innovative" grads are from US and this makes US an outstanding Nation in the world fit for one of the characteristics of being the Super Power. :geek:

Thanks for additional information on Education. I am so glad Myanmar authorities have heeded my messages of how important and vital KEW (Knowledge, Education & Wisdom) is for a nation to advance forward with true strength and power. Myanmar not only catch up but also will surpass many countries if Myanmar keep this pace of advancement.
Wonderful in deed and in action. :D
