Ancient Birds' Wings Found In Burmese Amber

“This is the first time that feathers have been found alongside skeletal material in Mesozoic (dinosaur-age) amber”, McKellar told Live Science in an email. The ancient wings also possessed some sharp, tiny claws, indicating that these baby birds can climb up trees.

The specimen, according to The Washington Post, was discovered in amber extracted from the mines of Burma, and they were able to illuminate details that the scientists don’t often see.

New evidence suggests birds haven’t changed much in the past 100 million years.

The worldwide team of researchers used x-ray imaging to determine the two wings, which are a few centimeters long, belonged to juvenile birds, and likely came from the same species, according to the study.

Very interesting.... there is a question of how a lizard like bellows lung would by evolution and many small changes become a bird lung where air can continuously flow

It seems animal types appear fully formed in the fossil record. That leans toward a creationary view.
